Crizal lenses are better from the start. Ordinary “coated” lenses offer unmatched layers of coatings, often applied to factory hardcoats, sometimes with poor bonding and performance. Crizal lenses start with an uncoated lens surface. Ultrasonic cleaning eliminates microsopic contaminants, and the lens surface is chemically activated before a diamond-hard, scratch resistant layer is fused into the actual lense surface. A perfectly matched and balanced antireflective layer is then added and, together with a sealed hydrophobic topcaot, fused into the lens. In short, Crizal technology is engineered and integrated to be better.

Crizal lenses offer unsurpassed performance. Ordinary lenses are too often susceptible to cracking and peeling-as well as scratching. With Crizal technolgy, cracking and peeling are forever a thing of the past. The absolute adhesion that occurs in the fusing process results in lenses (not a coating) that are built to last. Simply put, chances are good that Crizal lenses will outlast the patients frames and prescription.

Transitions lenses contain a proprietary and patented photochromic system that cause them to activate, or darken, when exposed to ultraviolet rays from sunlight. When UV light decreases, lenses fade back. There is a level of tint that adjusts, but always provides 100% UVA & UVB blockage.
